Meet the Artist

Welcome to the art studio of Elaine Anderson. My goal as an artist is to capture the beauty of the world and spread joy to others through my creative process and projects.

I am a painter, an educator, an eternal optimist, and a lover of travel. For as long as I can remember, creativity and art have been a part of my life. As a child, I had a natural passion for coloring, drawing, and painting. I am an observer of life around me. I admire the beauty of the world and aim to re-create that inspiration in my artwork.

I live in Lexington, South Carolina. where I grew up in Lake Murray country with frequent travels to the coast and mountains. I also enjoy photography, reading, music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I frequently travel and capture images that inspire most of my artwork. I try to find beauty in the most ordinary spaces and places.

I create colorful waterscapes and landscapes. I use mostly acrylic paint and sometimes mix gold leaf, pencil and oil pastel details. I am inspired by God’s creations: the ocean, marshes, sunrises, ocean and sunsets- as well as abstract shapes. Each day presents new visions and ideas for my creations.
