Icehouse Amphitheater 5x7
This 'Hometown Series' I created includes local landmarks of my hometown of Lexington SC. It captures the nostalgic feeling of a small town, where the past is deeply embedded in the architecture, people and everyday routines, creating a sense of timeless beauty and familiarity. It is inspired by the idea that you can always come back home.
ABOUT: Before the 1860, a shoe shop occupied the site. The land later housed a cotton warehouse, fertilizer and coal sales company. An ice plant was opened on the property in 1928 where 300 pound ice blocks were made and cut down to 50 pound blocks to fit in residential iceboxes.
