Lake Murray Towers 5x7
This 'Hometown Series' I created includes local landmarks of my hometown of Lexington SC. It captures the nostalgic feeling of a small town, where the past is deeply embedded in the architecture, people and everyday routines, creating a sense of timeless beauty and familiarity. It is inspired by the idea that you can always come back home.
ABOUT: The intake towers at Lake Murray in South Carolina are 223 feet tall and supply water to the Lower Saluda River. The towers are visible from the dam, which is also known as the Saluda Dam or Dreher Shoals Dam. The construction of Lake Murray began in 1927 and was completed in 1930. The dam was built to provide flood control, hydroelectricity, recreation, and water supply.
