Gibson Pond Park 5x7
This 'Hometown Series' I created includes local landmarks of my hometown of Lexington SC. It captures the nostalgic feeling of a small town, where the past is deeply embedded in the architecture, people and everyday routines, creating a sense of timeless beauty and familiarity. It is inspired by the idea that you can always come back home.
ABOUT: Gibson Pond Park has a rich history. The pond is fed by 12 Mile Creek and was once a site for gristmills, sawmills and a small cotton mill. Formerly known as George's Pond, the George family sold the property to Murray Gibson in 1943. For nearly 30 years, Gibson Pond was a community recreational area.
